Alpiq AG seeks a Lead Asset Manager for Green Power in Lausanne, CH, to oversee renewable energy assets in Italy. The role involves managing solar, wind, and mini-hydro portfolios, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

Alpiq focuses on long-term renewable energy asset management across Europe. This role will lead the optimization of a diversified portfolio in Italy, acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and financial performance of solar PV, wind, and mini-hydro assets in Italy
  • Create and execute asset management strategies to enhance performance, availability, and value
  • Track KPIs, production data, budgets, and cash flows to meet performance targets
  • Oversee asset-level financial planning, including budgets, forecasts, and long-term models
  • Ensure adherence to financing agreements, lender reporting, and covenant obligations
  • Supervise key contracts such as O&M, PPAs, land leases, and insurance, and manage external partners
  • Maintain compliance with Italian energy regulations and monitor market changes
  • Lead and support the Asset Management team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, infrastructure, or IPP environments
  • In-depth knowledge of the Italian renewable energy market and regulatory environment, with experience in O&M contract management
  • Proven experience managing utility-scale solar or wind assets
  • Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with project finance structures and lender requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
