The company seeks a Senior Project Manager for Service Grid Automation in Baden, CH. The role involves leading complex service projects and agreements within a global matrix organization, focusing on substation automation and customer relations.
This position sits within the Grid Automation business, contributing to the advancement of power transmission and distribution. Based in Baden, the role centers on substation automation, protection, and communication systems. The successful candidate will manage projects and service agreements across a global, matrixed structure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of local and international service projects and agreements, starting from commercial handover through to final closure.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, cultivating strong relationships and steering significant engagements.
- Manage risks and opportunities proactively to guarantee long-term project success.
- Hold responsibility for project and contract performance, covering financial oversight, resource allocation, and forecasting.
- Direct contract execution, including handling changes and claims.
- Promote collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, commissioning, and technical support departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and help establish best practices for project management.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience managing complex projects or service agreements in industrial or technology sectors.
- Ability to lead stakeholders at various levels, including senior customer representatives.
- Strong commercial skills with expertise in financial oversight, risk management, and contract execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and present effectively in an international setting.
- Experience working in matrix organizations and leading cross-cultural teams.
- Fluency in German or French, with business-level English proficiency required.

- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, IPMA) are an advantage.
