ABB Power Grids seeks a Senior Project Manager for Process Improvement in Zürich. The role focuses on driving strategic optimization, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs through structured process improvements and digital transformation.
This position is responsible for leading strategic optimization initiatives across various business units. The primary goal is to improve operational performance, cut expenses, and boost efficiency by implementing structured process enhancements and digital transformation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete process improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and A3 frameworks.
- Establish project boundaries, goals, outputs, and success indicators in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Evaluate existing workflows to spot inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Create and deploy scalable process solutions using best practices and digital tools, while leading change management efforts such as workshops and training sessions to ensure adoption.
- Conduct training sessions on continuous improvement methods, including A3 problem-solving.
- Track project advancement, potential risks, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Work closely with operations, finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment.
- Spot opportunities for automation, digitalization, and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of project management experience with a focus on process improvement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a continuous improvement responsible.
- Proven track record in delivering complex process optimization initiatives Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- English is mandatory.
