Kanadeviainova seeks a Senior Process Engineer Manager in Zürich to lead process engineering teams for waste-to-energy projects, ensuring technical compliance, project delivery, and team development.
This position is responsible for directing process engineering efforts within a global innovation leader focused on sustainable waste infrastructure. The role plays a key part in transforming waste materials into energy, heat, hydrogen, and other valuable resources through advanced technological solutions.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the process engineering group and IGLENs during all project phases, making sure work aligns with contract terms and project goals.
- Verify that all process engineering tasks adhere to the approved tender concept, internal policies, guidelines, and HSE standards.
- Oversee the Process Work Package to guarantee high-quality outputs are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Allocate process engineering resources, manage direct reports, conduct weekly progress meetings, plan workloads, and utilize engineering tools like COMOS.
- Promote clear communication and cooperation within the process team and with external stakeholders to address technical and organizational challenges.
- Ensure the timely creation and submission of process engineering documents, operation manuals, CE conformity records, and B2 documentation.
- Spearhead commissioning efforts, including multidisciplinary meetings, process evaluations, trial operation readiness checks, and Fit-for-Performance assessments.
- Foster ongoing improvement by sharing lessons learned, collaborating with product owners, and providing training and technical guidance to staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, with demonstrated experience leading process engineering teams.
- Extensive background in plant engineering, construction, and commissioning, ideally within the energy sector.
- Deep knowledge of process engineering workflows, plant processes, and engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven project management and technical project management experience with strong cost awareness and budget control skills.
- Proficiency in COMOS, CAPRI, MS Office, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including development of standards, guidelines, and implementation of effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English.
Nice to have
- Technical knowledge of Energy-from-Waste (EfW), Renewable Gas (RG), and/or Carbon Capture technologies.
- German language skills.
