Maintenance Manager (all genders)

Beyond Gravity seeks a Maintenance Manager in Emmen, CH, to lead Total Productive Maintenance for Swiss Structure operations, ensuring equipment reliability and safety compliance.

The company is looking for a Maintenance Manager to establish and manage a robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program for its Emmen facilities. This role involves leading the discipline for Swiss Structure operations, ensuring that all machinery and equipment remain in safe, optimal condition while driving continuous improvement and cost reduction through strategic maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities within defined scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Ensure all plant jigs, tools, machinery, and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition through planned, preventative, and corrective actions.
• Foster a safe and compliant workplace by strictly adhering to internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain equipment in peak production state by following the established TPM program guidelines.
• Manage external resources efficiently to ensure equipment operations meet all applicable requirements.
• Continuously review production effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the Operations team on prevention actions for long-term sustainment.
• Oversee plant and station reliability to optimize industrial performance, reduce costs, and enhance equipment operation and upgrades.
• Manage critical equipment spare parts inventory and budgets using lean manufacturing principles.
• Determine optimal part quantities and re-order points to minimize machine downtime.
• Develop and improve the plant's maintenance planning system to reduce unplanned downtime, lower costs, and increase machine productivity and throughput.
• Create a comprehensive TPM program roadmap with short-, mid-, and long-term goals and activities.
• Align the BPM TPM Process strategically within Beyond Gravity and maintain it as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant company experience.
• Understanding of quality and safety standards, including AS9100 and OSHA or similar frameworks.
• Prior experience with tooling for processing composite, metallic, and non-metallic materials.
• Experience with automation and machining.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Space or Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge or experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with SAP, other ERP systems, or MS Office.
• Experience with MES, CAD, or other complex software.
• Knowledge of Industrie 4.0 or 5.0 concepts.
