Beyond Gravity seeks a Product Assurance Engineer in Emmen to manage quality across manufacturing and launch phases for satellite and launcher products.

This role ensures that every product meets rigorous quality standards from initial manufacturing through final delivery and launch preparation, acting as the central quality authority for the assigned product line.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete quality lifecycle for assigned products, covering manufacturing, delivery, and launch phases.
- Guarantee adherence to customer, internal, and regulatory standards including EN9100, ECSS, NASA, and MIL specifications.
- Serve as the main quality liaison for the product line, supporting manufacturing and engineering stakeholders.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using structured prevention methods and Lessons Learned sessions.
- Verify product readiness for delivery, audits, and customer reviews through robust acceptance processes.
- Track and report quality performance metrics to management via defined KPIs.
- Execute quality assurance tasks throughout the production and launch preparation stages.
- Create and maintain essential quality records, including control plans, inspection logs, and acceptance data packages.
- Assist production teams in maintaining process stability and ensuring product conformity.
- Lead non-conformance management, performing root cause analysis (using 5Why or Ishikawa) and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate manufacturing readiness reviews, including KIPs/MIPs and hardware acceptance procedures.
- Support validation and qualification activities for products and processes.
- Contribute to Design and Process FMECA efforts.
- Organize and prepare for quality reviews with customers.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Capture and drive Lessons Learned from production and launch campaign activities.
- Act as the Quality representative for launch campaigns, providing on-site support at launch sites for several weeks.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MSc) or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement within a relevant industry.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as EN9100, ECSS, NASA, and MIL.
- Understanding of space certification procedures.
- Practical experience applying preventive quality methodologies like 5Why and Ishikawa Fishbone analysis.
- Ability to quickly comprehend and analyze complex systems and their functions.
- Strong autonomy in coordinating complex tasks involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel to other business units (Sweden, Alabama, US) and launch sites.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in German or French in addition to English.
- Prior work experience with other space industry companies.
- Auditor Certification, such as ISO9001:2015 IRCA.
