Quality Engineer

ERServices is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Bettlach, CH facility. The role supports the quality team in ensuring products meet regulatory standards through process improvement, audits, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position sits within the quality team at the Jabil Bettlach factory and reports to the Supervisor Quality Engineering. The engineer works closely with production and engineering groups to verify that manufactured items satisfy all quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft quality control documentation and suggest appropriate tools and methods.
• Develop instructions for First Article Inspections.
• Evaluate nonconforming items, decide on their disposition, and assist in resolving quality issues.
• Take part in investigations for nonconformities and CAPA, track improvements, and monitor their effectiveness.
• Drive product and process enhancements using CAPA and Kaizen approaches.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for initiatives like new equipment or product introductions.
• Help prepare for internal and external audits by conducting Gemba walks and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments for manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Background in manufacturing, quality, or engineering.
• Prior work in the medical device sector under ISO 13485 and 21CFR820 regulations.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such as SPC and capability studies.
• Capacity to collaborate across departments and communicate clearly.
• Keen attention to detail and dedication to upholding quality benchmarks.
• Willingness to adhere to established procedures and safety protocols.
• Fluency in both English and German.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and surface treatment processes.
• Hands-on experience with production and quality systems like MES, SAP, ETQ, or Babtec.
