Destinusgroup in Zürich seeks a mid-level Quality Assurance Engineer for onsite work. The role ensures aerospace-grade quality for unmanned aerial vehicles used in defense, supporting compliance with key standards and driving quality across the product lifecycle.
This role serves as the final quality checkpoint for advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for reliability, safety, and compliance before deployment. It supports mission-critical defense systems and contributes to a culture of excellence within the company, which is pioneering next-generation aerospace technology for global defense partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for both hardware and software, aligned with ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160G
- Carry out process assurance tasks including audits, stage-of-involvement reviews, and conformity checks throughout the development cycle
- Assist in certification and qualification efforts, including environmental testing according to DO-160G
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, certification bodies, and military clients on quality-related matters
- Oversee supplier quality assurance, including conducting audits and defining incoming inspection standards
- Help maintain and align the company’s Quality Management System with aerospace standards such as AS/EN 9100
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
- 2 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or development assurance within aerospace or a similarly regulated sector
- Familiarity with ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160G, and their application in product development
- Practical experience in audits, reviews, and configuration or change management
- Strong documentation abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to provide constructive feedback to engineering teams
- Readiness to travel frequently to sites across Europe
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English
Nice to have
- Prior experience with military development processes and standards such as MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, or AQAP 2110
