Manager of International Fleet Management (80%-100%)

Streck Transport AG seeks a Manager of International Fleet Management in Möhlin to oversee the operational and financial performance of its fixed subcontractor fleet within a hybrid work model.

This position serves as a key leadership role within the family-owned company, combining operational oversight with financial accountability for the fixed subcontractor fleet. The manager collaborates closely with the LTL/FTL dispatch team to ensure efficient service delivery and holds clearly defined authority to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and financial health of the fixed subcontractor fleet, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Generate regular KPI reports and analyses for division management to track performance.
• Guarantee high levels of fleet availability, utilization, on-time delivery, and overall service quality.
• Lead negotiations on pricing and capacity with current and prospective carriers.
• Monitor the carrier market landscape, performing benchmarks to assess competitive positioning and service standards.
• Curate, assess, and expand the carrier portfolio to meet business needs.
• Handle all contractual obligations and agreements with transport partners.

Requirements

• A completed commercial or business degree, preferably with a focus on freight forwarding and logistics.
• Proven experience in transport or logistics, specifically in LTL/FTL operations and managing subcontractors or carriers.
• Excellent negotiation abilities, particularly with carriers and subcontractors based in Eastern Europe.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, demonstrating a reliable, cooperative, and clear working style.
• Decisiveness, assertiveness, and sound commercial judgment.
• Very good proficiency in English.
