Ernst & Young AG seeks a Manager for Technology Consulting - Cyber Security in Zürich. The role focuses on advising financial services clients on security strategy, risk assessment, and complex engagements while leading cross-functional teams.

This position sits within the FSO - Technology Consulting division, where the team collaborates with clients to navigate complex technological landscapes and drive business transformations. The role involves leading complex cybersecurity engagements, supporting clients in improving their security posture, and contributing to go-to-market strategies for financial services and insurance sectors. The team combines diverse competencies in AI, data, and technology strategy to deliver purposeful growth through cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex cybersecurity consulting projects for banks and insurance companies.
  • Assess information security risks across processes, applications, systems, and IT infrastructures.
  • Advise clients on emerging cybersecurity topics such as cloud security, blockchain, DevOps, penetration testing, and security architecture.
  • Support internal controls, risk assurance, and compliance management initiatives.
  • Help clients understand the cyber threat landscape and evaluate the maturity of their cybersecurity strategies.
  • Contribute to sales efforts by identifying opportunities and preparing proposals for financial services and insurance clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional EY teams to raise awareness of cybersecurity capabilities and uncover cross-functional sales opportunities.
  • Represent the team at security conferences and professional meetings.
  • Guide clients in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness and quality of their cybersecurity measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an MAS in Information Security.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or technical IT security assessments.
  • Strong organizational and technical knowledge of cybersecurity, including familiarity with standards and frameworks like ISO 27001:2013 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Deep expertise in at least one cybersecurity domain, such as security architecture, data protection, network security, or identity and access management.
  • Proven experience in leadership, team mentoring, client management, and project management.
  • Fluency in both German and English.

Nice to have

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.
  • Prior experience working within the financial services sector.
