Senior Manager - Consulting - Technology Strategy and Transformation

Ernst & Young AG seeks a Senior Manager in Technology Strategy and Transformation based in Zürich. The role focuses on leading high-level consulting engagements and advising C-suite executives on digital and technology change.

This position sits within the Technology Strategy & Transformation Team at Ernst & Young AG. The primary purpose is to deliver strategic consulting services that help clients navigate technology shifts and digital transformation. A key aspect of the role involves direct engagement with top-tier executives, including CIOs, CDOs, and CTOs, to drive organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Guide engagement teams in executing client strategies covering process, people, and technology changes.
• Manage complex consulting projects focused on IT strategy, digital and AI transformation, and IT operating model design.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and workstreams, providing coaching, direction, and quality control.
• Take full responsibility for the quality and delivery of client work products.
• Manage project financials, compliance, risk, and overall delivery performance.
• Identify potential risks within engagements, escalate issues as needed, and define mitigation strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Support the strategic growth and development of the Technology Strategy & Transformation practice.
• Participate in people initiatives such as recruiting, mentoring, and retaining consulting staff.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from a recognized university with strong academic performance.
• 10–15+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Big 4 firms, strategy consultancies, or similar roles.
• Proven ability to originate, shape, and close multi-million CHF consulting deals while managing a robust sales pipeline.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-value pursuits and competitive bidding processes.
• Deep expertise in Technology Strategy and Transformation areas, including IT strategy, operating models, infrastructure, cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, technology sourcing, and IT service management.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and technology ecosystems such as ServiceNow, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, SAP, Oracle, Veeva, and Salesforce.
• Experience advising senior client stakeholders and engaging confidently with CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and other CXOs.
• Leadership experience in managing large, multi-disciplinary consulting teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German or French.
