EY AG in Bern seeks a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to advise financial clients on risk assessment, security architecture, and compliance, requiring technical expertise and bilingual proficiency.
This position sits within the FSO - Technology Consulting division, where the team collaborates with clients to manage complex technology shifts and foster purposeful growth. The role involves guiding organizations through cybersecurity challenges while contributing to a supportive, career-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cybersecurity consulting and evaluate risks for processes, applications, and IT infrastructures, primarily serving banks and insurance firms.
- Engage with emerging cybersecurity topics including cloud security, blockchain, DevOps, penetration testing, and security architecture.
- Assist clients in enhancing their cybersecurity strategies by evaluating threat landscapes and determining maturity levels.
- Provide IT risk assurance services, focusing on internal controls and risk and compliance management.
- Support consulting engagements aimed at improving the effectiveness and quality of cybersecurity measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional education.
- Minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information security, and technical IT security assessments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity organizational and technical aspects, including familiarity with standards like ISO 27001:2013 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Demonstrated passion for consulting and deep expertise in at least one cybersecurity domain, such as security architecture, data protection, network security, or identity and access management.
- Fluency in both English and German.
Nice to have
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.
- Prior experience working within the financial services industry.
