Network & Security Engineer IT-OT

SKAN AG seeks a Senior Network & Security Engineer to lead IT-OT infrastructure projects in Allschwil, ensuring compliance and security in validated environments.

This position focuses on delivering network and security services within qualified and validated settings. The engineer will join a newly formed team to drive IT-OT initiatives in an international context, playing a key role in maintaining robust industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex IT-OT projects tailored for industrial environments.
• Lead specific sub-projects to enhance and sustain the company's IT-OT network and security frameworks.
• Perform advanced error analysis and troubleshooting (levels 2 and 3) alongside internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee change management processes and maintain accurate operating manuals and technical documentation.
• Guarantee adherence to rigorous qualification and validation standards for base infrastructure, including conducting and recording system tests.

Requirements

• A university degree in Computer Science or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Deep expertise in architecting, deploying, operating, and resolving issues within enterprise IT-OT network and security systems, with specific proficiency in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
• Proven track record of translating business needs into IT-OT infrastructure solutions, including project experience in SMEs or the pharmaceutical sector.
• Several years of dedicated professional experience in IT-OT networking and security.
• Mandatory possession of an ITIL certification and solid knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV).
• Fluency in both German and English.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA or Palo Alto PCNSE.
• Additional training or experience in project management methodologies.
