Output Management Developer (A)

Bosshard & Partner AG seeks a Mid-level Output Management Developer in Zürich for a hybrid contract role. The position focuses on automating document creation using Java and specialized tools like CSF Designer.

This position is part of a collaborative DevOps team responsible for the support and continuous improvement of the company's Output Document Management system. The developer will bridge technical implementation with business needs, ensuring efficient document generation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated document creation workflows using Output-Management tools such as CSF Designer.
• Design, adapt, and upkeep document templates and layouts tailored to various business units.
• Integrate templates with diverse data sources and legacy systems to ensure seamless data flow.
• Build and refine interfaces and integration logic using Java, including data preparation, transformation, and validation tasks.
• Conduct technical analysis and design for integration solutions linking business applications with Output-Management systems.
• Partner closely with business units to collect requirements and implement specific content and layout needs.
• Advise business units on optimizing document creation possibilities and processes.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities related to Output Management.
• Produce documentation and training materials for end-users and business stakeholders.
• Automate and enhance Output-Management processes through Java-based batch jobs, services, and helper libraries.
• Support the expansion of Java-based services and REST APIs to connect the Output-Management system effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Output-Management systems and document creation tools, preferably CSF Designer, or comparable solutions like DocBridge, OpenText, or Adobe LiveCycle.
• Strong ability to create and modify document templates and forms.
• Solid understanding of data integration and interfaces, including XML, XSD, JSON, REST, and SOAP.
• Proficient knowledge of Java (version 8 or higher), particularly for backend services and integration solutions.
• Familiarity with the Java ecosystem, including Maven and Git, with Spring or Spring Boot being a plus.
• Experience in applying testing and quality assurance processes within Output Management contexts.
• Ability to document technical solutions and processes clearly.
• Fluent proficiency in German.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated testing in Java environments, such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Prior work with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
