Partner / Principal nxt – Part of Zühlke Group – Insurance | Build & Lead a New Business Line

Zühlke Group seeks a Partner to build and lead a new Insurance business line at its advisory subsidiary nxt. The role involves strategy, client acquisition, and team leadership across Switzerland, with potential expansion into DACH and the UK.

nxt, an independent advisory boutique within the Zühlke Group, is launching a dedicated practice focused on the insurance sector. This position requires an experienced leader to establish the new business line, define its strategic direction, and drive growth primarily within Switzerland, with selective expansion into the DACH region and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Establish nxt's Insurance practice from inception, including defining its strategy, service offerings, and market approach.
• Secure and execute high-level client projects within the Swiss insurance market, with plans to expand into the DACH region and the UK.
• Develop innovative advisory solutions that combine insurance strategy, digital transformation, and technology.
• Hire, guide, and develop a strong team, fostering nxt's consultative and rigorous culture.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, managing commercial responsibilities such as pipeline development, P&L, and account growth.

Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in the insurance industry, either within an insurer or a top-tier strategy/management consultancy.
• A robust and active network of senior decision-makers in the insurance sector.
• A demonstrated history of entrepreneurial success in building practices, winning business, and developing talent.
• Deep understanding of strategic and digital challenges in insurance, with the ability to translate these into actionable advisory and transformation work.
• Principal or Partner-level seniority, with the credibility to engage as a peer to C-level clients.
• Fluency in German and English, with deep roots in the Swiss insurance market.

• Existing client mandates or a credible near-term pipeline.
• Relevance to the wider DACH region or the UK.
