Takeda Pharma AG seeks a Senior Process Investigation Lead in Glattpark to drive manufacturing troubleshooting, digital transformation, and problem-solving excellence across global operations.

The company is looking for a senior professional to spearhead the resolution of complex manufacturing issues for its commercial product portfolio. This role focuses on modernizing investigation frameworks through digital transformation and AI integration, while ensuring timely, data-driven decisions that maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct cross-functional taskforces to resolve urgent, business-critical manufacturing challenges across internal sites and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Oversee end-to-end troubleshooting of high-impact production issues to ensure swift and effective outcomes.
  • Design, standardize, and refine problem-solving methodologies to foster structured, evidence-based decision-making.
  • Champion the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital tools to enhance manufacturing troubleshooting and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute process improvements and innovation initiatives.
  • Apply advanced data analytics and automation solutions to solve complex problems and boost productivity.
  • Ensure consistent application of problem-solving practices across the global network to reinforce a solution-oriented culture.
  • Provide on-site support during critical events, including frequent short-notice global travel and extended stays away from home when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, troubleshooting methodologies, and business process development.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification, or an equivalent process improvement credential.
  • Solid understanding of GMP and regulatory standards, including FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques such as Fishbone Diagrams and 5 Whys.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical software like Minitab or JMP for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple investigations concurrently.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Skilled in visualization tools including Miro, whiteboards, dashboards, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral command of English.

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in contract manufacturing environments.
  • Proven hands-on expertise in data analytics.
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to drive business transformation and excellence.
