Production Engineer

SCHURTER AG seeks a Production Engineer in Lancy to optimize manufacturing processes and drive automation improvements within a hybrid work model.

The company is looking for a professional to enhance factory efficiency through smarter working methods and innovative automation. This role involves collaborating closely with the Operations Manager and the production engineering team at the sister factory in Germany to realize an even more efficient production process.

Responsibilities

• Streamline production workflows and operational methods.
• Assist with projects related to outsourcing.
• Provide advice on capital investments and oversee the installation of new machinery.
• Redesign and enhance existing and new product lines and their associated processes.
• Introduce and manage alternative materials and emerging technologies.
• Support proto-series development and product design phases.
• Develop and maintain process work instructions and process FMEAs.
• Analyze data to boost quality, reduce lead times, and increase yield.
• Coordinate and guide the release processes for new materials and products.
• Oversee and optimize the maintenance schedules for machines and tools.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and Management.
• Proven experience in process optimization, working methods, and automation.
• Strong spoken and written English skills.
