Production Manager

SOPHiA GENETICS seeks a Production Manager in Rolle, CH, to lead daily operations, manage a team of five, and drive continuous improvement in a regulated healthcare environment.

This position sits within the Production team at SOPHiA GENETICS, with the core mission of improving outcomes for patients affected by cancer and rare diseases globally. The manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of production activities, ensuring stability and efficiency within a dynamic operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct the production operations team by setting daily priorities, ensuring adequate coverage, and providing necessary support.
• Maintain safe, reliable, and high-quality production workflows, emphasizing practical decision-making and timely delivery.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, increasing capacity, and reducing costs.
• Independently manage projects, balancing proactive advancement with the maintenance of daily production stability.
• Collaborate with Quality, QC, project teams, and external customers to resolve production-related issues.
• Oversee a team of five employees, taking full ownership of daily execution while fostering a culture of improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in production or warehouse roles within healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead on-site staff, including managing shift coverage and addressing resource limitations.
• Background in lean manufacturing environments with a history of providing hands-on operational support.
• Strong operational judgment to determine when to intervene directly with the team versus focusing on strategic projects.
• Track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives that impact efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost.
• Experience collaborating effectively with Quality, QC, and other operational stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site five days per week with reliable commuting to the Rolle facility.
