Railway Signalling Specialist

Stadlerrail seeks a Railway Signalling Specialist in Wallisellen, CH, to investigate ETCS and Class B system incidents, drive root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement of signalling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical investigations into incidents involving ETCS and Class B systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for signalling failures and operational events.
• Coordinate with ETCS suppliers to resolve issues and improve product performance.
• Lead testing and operational analysis to address system problems.
• Track system performance to spot recurring failure patterns.
• Assist in the ongoing enhancement of ETCS and Class B solutions during their operational life.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar field.
• Proven experience in railway signalling, ETCS, testing, commissioning, or technical troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of ETCS architecture, interfaces, and operational behaviour.
• Understanding of Class B train protection systems.
• Experience with railway signalling and system integration.
• Skills in technical investigation and root cause analysis.
• Ability to analyze diagnostic data and logs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Reliable and objective approach to technical investigations.
• Very good English skills and German at least B2-level.
