RAMS and certification specialist (m/f)

Stadler Bussnang AG seeks a RAMS and certification specialist in Białystok to lead safety activities for power converter systems, supporting global production and external customers.

This position supports the expansion of the power converter factory, which supplies units to Stadler’s worldwide production sites and external clients. As a leading global provider of integrated rail-vehicle solutions, the company relies on this role to ensure rigorous safety and certification standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all RAMS activities for power converter systems from start to finish.
• Create, manage, and update essential RAMS documentation, including FMEAs, FMEDAs, hazard logs, and safety cases.
• Assist with certification procedures to ensure compliance with relevant railway standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for external assessors, notified bodies, and certification authorities.
• Conduct risk assessments, establish mitigation strategies, and track their implementation.
• Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to guarantee adherence to functional safety requirements.
• Drive the continuous improvement of RAMS methodologies, tools, and processes specific to the converter domain.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Railway Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in RAMS engineering or certification within an industrial setting.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of power electronics and prior experience with railway systems or rolling stock.
• Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.
