Recipe Data Steward Lead

Roche seeks a Recipe Data Steward Lead in Basel to drive digital excellence within the PTE organization, focusing on FAIR data ecosystems and global recipe harmonization.

This position sits within the Basecamp 2.0 Operational Support Network Team under the new PT Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE) organization. The primary goal is to foster data citizenship, modernize the FAIR data environment, and deliver significant insights through lean and digital operational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central authority for business harmonization, ensuring that global recipe builders adhere to uniform standards for molecules, buffers, and media solutions.
• Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to conduct impact analyses, feasibility studies, and create mock-ups for templates and system configurations.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end implementation of newly approved system elements, structural changes, and process steps.
• Ensure consistent application of standard nomenclature, data classifications, and conventions across all global recipe systems.
• Act as the main point of contact for the global recipe builder community, including the development of prototypes and leading practical training sessions.
• Collaborate across various departments to solve technical issues, maintain continuous inspection readiness, and ensure compliance with Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biological Sciences, or a related field with at least five years of experience, a Master’s degree with three years, or a PhD with up to two years of experience.
• Extensive background in biologics manufacturing operations, process development, or technology transfers.
• Demonstrated experience using process specification tools, enterprise recipe management systems, data ontologies, or configuring database solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global biopharma regulatory frameworks and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Outstanding communication abilities, with experience leading communities of practice, designing prototypes via Design Thinking, and managing cross-functional projects.
