SAP FI Application Expert (80-100%)

Lombard Odier seeks a Senior SAP FI Application Expert in Geneva to manage platform evolution, ensure operational continuity, and support the transition to S/4HANA within a regulated financial environment.

This position supports the IT Department's financial ecosystem by overseeing accounting, business intelligence, planning, and expense management. The role focuses on maintaining system stability, guiding platform upgrades, and delivering cross-functional projects while driving the shift toward next-generation S/4HANA solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional and technical support for SAP FI/CO, BW/4 Hana, SAC, BPC, and Concur systems.
  • Maintain operational continuity through dedicated support activities.
  • Collaborate with the SAP product owner and Finance stakeholders to guide platform development.
  • Participate in cross-functional project delivery and S/4HANA conversion initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze business needs from Finance and Controlling departments.
  • Design functional solutions and draft technical specifications.
  • Support the evolution of BPC planning models and reporting developments in BW/4 and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Manage end-to-end change request and project delivery, including scoping, testing, training, and go-live phases.
  • Configure SAP FI modules (GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting) and CO components.
  • Ensure all modifications adhere to internal change management and audit standards.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI (80%) and CO (20%) in complex, regulated settings, covering both functional and technical aspects.
  • Demonstrated success in both support operations and project-based work.
  • Proficiency in SAP BW reporting, BPC planning and consolidation, and SAP Concur configuration and integration with SAP FI.
  • Strong grasp of financial accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset management, and bank reconciliation.
  • Analytical ability to convert complex functional needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to technical and business audiences.
  • Rigorous, autonomous, and structured approach to managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Full proficiency in French and English.
  • Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge or experience with S/4HANA architecture and migration concepts.
  • Familiarity with private banking operational flows, including client accounting, fees, treasury, and regulatory reporting.
