WinGD seeks a Senior SAP Functional Expert for FI/CO & PS in Winterthur. The role focuses on functional expertise, system configuration, and stakeholder collaboration to optimize financial and project processes.
This position serves as the primary functional authority for SAP Finance, Controlling, and Project System modules. The specialist bridges the gap between business operations and technical implementation, ensuring that financial and project workflows align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the second-line functional support for SAP FI, CO, and PS modules.
- Translate business needs into practical SAP configurations and solutions.
- Collaborate with process owners to refine workflows and enhance system functionality.
- Manage incident resolution, change requests, and system enhancements.
- Oversee functional testing, user acceptance testing, and release preparation.
- Maintain accurate process documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Assist with master data management for financial and project records.
- Work alongside external SAP partners on complex configuration tasks.
- Improve SAP governance, reporting accuracy, and financial transparency.
- Assist with period-end closing activities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of functional or consulting experience with SAP FI/CO and PS.
- Deep configuration expertise in SAP FI and CO modules.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP PS, including project structures and settlement.
- Proven track record in SAP implementations, rollouts, or major upgrades.
- Solid grasp of financial processes like Record-to-Report and Project Accounting.
- Experience collaborating with international business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or holding relevant SAP certifications.
- Fluent English proficiency and functional German language skills.
