The company seeks a Senior Application & Sales Engineer for Motion Control in Spreitenbach, CH. The role focuses on expanding the industrial linear motor market in EMEA through technical consulting, customer support, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position drives the growth of industrial linear motors across the EMEA region. The engineer works within a cross-border team to provide technical expertise, support key customers, and collaborate with internal departments to refine systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Drive market growth for industrial linear motors throughout the EMEA area as part of an international team.
- Conduct on-site visits to major clients to provide hands-on technical guidance on Direct Drive and Motion Control products.
- Deliver training and support in automation technology, covering servo drives, linear motors, and fieldbus communication.
- Partner with Application Engineering, Sales, Product Management, and R&D to enhance systems and tools continuously.
- Define technical specifications and design custom application solutions aligned with the product ecosystem, including linear motors, servo drives, and MagSpring.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or a related discipline.
- Over five years of professional experience in control and drive technology, including motion control.
- Strong understanding of PLC systems, programming environments, and fieldbus protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, and CANopen.
- Demonstrated background in business development, sales, or product management within the automation sector.
- Ability to lead technical and commercial conversations with engineers and decision-makers.
- Track record of managing technical projects from initial concept through to implementation.
- Fluent English proficiency; German is highly desirable, and French is beneficial.
- Solution-focused approach with readiness to travel 30–40% across the EMEA region.
