Senior Associate - Controlling, Advisory Operations

The company seeks a Senior Associate for its Controlling, Advisory Operations team in Zürich. The role focuses on financial closing, performance analysis, and strategic decision support using S/4HANA and Power BI.

This position supports the Controlling team in providing financial transparency and performance insights to leadership. The role is central to financial closing, forecasting, and reporting, while contributing to strategic initiatives that steer growth and improve organizational processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the central finance team to execute monthly, bi-annual, and annual financial closings, ensuring accurate revenue evaluation and work-in-progress assessment.
• Create and refine KPI reports and performance analyses to track Advisory results and aid leadership in making informed decisions.
• Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities to enhance financial planning and business steering.
• Utilize S/4HANA, Power BI, and Excel to optimize and digitalize the controlling and reporting landscape.
• Lead the development and standardization of controlling and reporting processes within Advisory, prioritizing efficiency and data quality.
• Engage in strategic projects to support the implementation of Advisory priorities and long-term objectives.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for financial matters, representing Advisory Controlling in discussions with partners and the central finance organization.

Requirements

• University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, with a focus on Controlling or Finance.
• Several years of professional experience in Controlling or Finance, ideally in a consulting, professional services or similarly dynamic environment.
• Solid understanding of core controlling and accounting topics, including profit and loss statements and work-in-progress management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure, interpret and clearly communicate complex financial topics.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in S/4HANA.
• Confident communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Power BI is an advantage.
• Alteryx knowledge is a plus.
• German skills are an advantage.
