Based in the VAT and Customs team in Zurich, this position supports clients in navigating complex customs and trade landscapes. The role aims to help organizations turn regulatory complexity into a competitive advantage through expert advice and tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise Swiss and global clients on customs and trade rules across Switzerland, the EU, and the US, covering classification, valuation, origin, preferential agreements, and export controls.
- Develop strategies to address intricate customs issues, including audits, investigations, and disputes.
- Guide clients and the team on how customs and trade laws affect business operations and supply chains.
- Interact with clients, local and international customs authorities, and PwC's global network of trade and VAT specialists.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the indirect tax practice.
- Work on enhancing and refining service offerings continuously.
Requirements
- A degree in accounting, economics, business, law, or a related field focusing on international customs and trade.
- Strong interest in the customs and trade sector.
- Fluency in English and at least one of German, French, or Italian.
- 2 to 3 years of consulting experience in customs and trade.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities, along with a consulting mindset and a willingness to take ownership of projects.
