Senior C# .Net Software Engineer

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Senior C# .Net Software Engineer in Zürich to modernize finance applications for an insurance client using Azure and DevOps practices.

This position focuses on the end-to-end delivery of a finance application suite for an insurance client. The engineer will operate within a compact team, handling everything from initial requirements and architecture to testing, reverse engineering, and ongoing maintenance. A key objective is the continuous modernization of the technology stack, with a strong emphasis on migrating and building cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle software engineering tasks, including design, architecture, and development.
• Gather and analyze business requirements to define technical solutions.
• Conduct reverse engineering efforts to understand and improve existing systems.
• Perform comprehensive testing to ensure software quality and stability.
• Implement DevOps practices to streamline deployment and operations.
• Oversee the management and evolution of a finance application suite for an insurance sector client.
• Drive the modernization of the technical infrastructure, specifically by integrating Azure cloud services.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Developer using C# and .Net.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining software solutions on the Azure Cloud platform.
• German language proficiency at a B2 level or higher to facilitate effective communication.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with MS Dynamics or the Power Platform.
