Senior Software Engineer (.NET & AI)

Bitcoin Suisse seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in .NET and AI to build secure, scalable enterprise applications and drive modern engineering practices in Zug.

This position focuses on leveraging a strong foundation in .NET development to implement AI-assisted engineering workflows. The engineer is tasked with designing and maintaining critical business processes, client-facing services, and network communications, ensuring they meet rigorous security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build secure, scalable, and robust enterprise-grade applications.
• Uphold code quality by conducting reviews, mentoring team members, and defining engineering standards.
• Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technical solutions.
• Champion the practical integration of AI-assisted tools and development workflows.
• Detect, evaluate, and resolve security vulnerabilities and technical risks in applications and infrastructure.
• Facilitate compliance, audit, and operational needs through documentation, monitoring, and security controls.
• Design and evolve distributed systems, APIs, and integration platforms with an emphasis on security, resilience, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in .NET and contemporary software development methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing secure, distributed applications and services.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and establish coding standards and best practices.
• Excellent command of English for communication.
• Capacity to comprehend and implement complex business processes.
• Proficiency in REST principles, API design, and the OpenAPI standard.
• Possession of a valid Swiss working permit.

Nice to have

• Background in microservices within containerized environments and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, MCP, RAG, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Experience in frontend development using React.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and secure application design.
• Understanding of YAML-based deployment pipelines, CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps or Jenkins, and version control systems like Git.
