Baer AG seeks a Senior IT Controller in Zürich to support the COO's unit with financial governance, reporting, and strategic project management for the Group's Technology area.
This position sits within the COO Chief of Staff unit, serving as a strategic sparring partner to senior management. The role is dedicated to advancing the COO's vision for both Run-the-Bank and Change-the-Bank initiatives, with a specific focus on financial and operational governance alongside project management office functions for the Group's Technology division.
Responsibilities
- Drive financial reporting, planning, and closing processes for Run-the-Bank and Change-the-Bank activities.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support decision-making for the respective portfolios.
- Lead or assist in strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Manage or support transformation efforts related to front-to-back processes and governance.
- Handle ad-hoc requests and analyses for senior leadership.
- Create compelling, data-driven presentations for various internal stakeholders and bodies.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Econometrics, or a related field with strong academic performance.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting (technology/banking/finance focus), or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent command of both German and English, written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Programming experience with tools such as VBA, Python, SQL, or R.
- Familiarity with data visualization or business intelligence platforms like Tableau.
- Additional language skills beyond German and English.
