The company is looking for a professional to manage the independent risk control function for all trading activities worldwide. This role focuses on developing risk frameworks, assessing trading positions, and supporting the approval of new products while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Adapt and enhance existing risk models and frameworks to meet the evolving needs of trading units.
- Prepare daily reports on market risk exposure.
- Collaborate closely with leadership on trading-related risk matters.
- Evaluate new products during the approval process.
- Analyze trading positions and hedging strategies.
- Maintain and develop IT applications used for market risk control.
- Participate in regulatory initiatives and group-wide projects within the trading division.
Requirements
- A university degree in a quantitative field such as physics, mathematics, engineering, econometrics, or quantitative finance.
- Several years of experience in a trading environment, particularly in market risk, valuation control, model validation, or trading.
- Hands-on experience with front-office trading platforms like Front Arena or Murex.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong team spirit with the capacity to motivate technically skilled colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills, including interaction with senior management.
- Exceptional analytical abilities to understand the full scope of complex problems.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets, products, and their representation in trading systems.
