Senior Mobile Engineer - Android & iOS

Zühlke Group seeks a Senior Mobile Engineer to build high-quality native iOS and Android applications in Schlieren, CH, using Swift and Kotlin within interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative mobile applications across various sectors to improve client operations and deliver excellent user experiences.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to create sophisticated apps and integrate them into client system landscapes.
• Gain a thorough understanding of client domains and project requirements.
• Develop using Swift and Kotlin, emphasizing clean architecture, testable code, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Evaluate when native, cross-platform, or hybrid approaches offer the most value.
• Develop prototypes rapidly while maintaining high user experience standards, working closely with customers, product owners, designers, and engineers.
• Support project success by coaching team members in mobile development and agile practices.

Requirements

• A technical degree (bachelor’s or master’s), preferably in computer science.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a software developer in mobile projects.
• Strong experience with Swift and the iOS ecosystem, as well as Kotlin and the Android ecosystem.
• A solid understanding of modern mobile architectures and clean software development.
• Experience with testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and quality-driven engineering practices.
• Familiarity with agile collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong critical-thinking abilities and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Business-fluent German is a must.
• Proficient command of English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the benefits of cross-platform technologies and ideally experience with Flutter and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience in consulting environments, technical leadership, or coaching in client projects is a plus.
