Baer AG seeks a Senior SAP Project Manager in Zürich to lead strategic SAP Finance projects, focusing on S/4HANA and Group Reporting, bridging Finance and IT stakeholders.
This position sits within the CFO Global Accounting, Reporting and Finance Operations department at Julius Baer. The role is central to driving the implementation and evolution of SAP solutions, particularly SAP S/4HANA and SAP Group Reporting, by collaborating closely with Finance, Business, and IT teams to shape the future Finance landscape.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex SAP Finance projects from start to finish, prioritizing SAP Group Reporting, S/4HANA Finance, and enhancements to the current SAP ERP environment.
- Guarantee project delivery meets defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Conduct business analysis and project management, delivering data flows, business requirements, and test cases.
- Oversee project governance through detailed planning, milestone tracking, dependency and integration management, risk and issue handling, and decision document preparation.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT to ensure successful SAP solution implementation.
- Convert business requirements into SAP solutions by working closely with functional and technical teams.
- Collaborate with IT and Architecture to align solutions with enterprise standards and the CFO’s long-term strategy.
- Ensure timely and high-quality technical implementation, testing, and sign-off.
- Support business stakeholders during the transformation journey to ensure adoption and value realization.
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the continuous evolution of Finance SAP systems and processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an SAP Project Manager delivering large-scale implementations, preferably with SAP Group Reporting and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Deep expertise in SAP Finance modules and related solutions (e.g., FI/CO, AA, consolidation, reporting, planning, analytics).
- Solid understanding of finance processes, including consolidation, controlling, financial accounting, external reporting, and data and reporting architecture.
- Experience delivering projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience as business analyst in SAP transformation projects.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience in the Finance department (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Consolidation) of a bank within an international environment.
- Experience in financial services, ideally private banking.
- German language skills.
