Valora seeks a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer in Zürich to build maintainable, user-friendly shopping experiences using modern cloud and frontend technologies.
This position focuses on solving real business problems through clean, efficient code and strong algorithmic thinking. The engineer will interface directly with stakeholders to shape the future of the shopping experience, prioritizing long-term maintainability and robust design over specific frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces.
- Write clean, reusable code and perform thorough code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by customers and internal teams.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and guidelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows.
- Proactively collaborate with business units to address real-world challenges.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- Ability to handle tasks end-to-end, from frontend to database modeling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, including zero-downtime deployments.
- Experience working in modern cloud environments.
- Capacity to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Decent German language skills for interfacing with teams and stakeholders.
