Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend Focus)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Design, implement, and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user-facing elements.
• Design and implement scalable and maintainable software architectures in AWS.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following best practices and industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and QA, to deliver high-quality products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of the code and system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in full stack development with a focus on backend.
• Proven experience with Java, Node.js, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development of (micro)services.
• Experience with database design, management, and optimization.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with relevant frameworks and libraries (e.g., boto3 for Python, node-fetch for Node.js).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, HCL) is highly desirable.
