Senior Frontend Engineer

Verity is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer in Zürich to build and maintain robust user interfaces for its drone fleet management systems within a cross-functional team.

As a member of the Ground Control Stream Squad, you will help the Ground Control team manage and operate the Verity drone fleet safely and intuitively. This role focuses on developing internal applications for manufacturing and commissioning systems, while also enabling clients to define safe drone flight zones. You will work within an independent, cross-functional team that addresses topics spanning multiple parts of the Verity system.

Responsibilities

• Partner with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver new features that simplify user workflows.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reliable frontend components for user interfaces.
• Spot and resolve technical debt while working on daily feature development.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers across different teams to maintain high code quality, including participating in code reviews.
• Identify process bottlenecks, raise them early, and provide honest feedback to help the team improve continuously.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing frontend applications.
• Strong proficiency with React and modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• A commitment to high code quality, ensuring code is well-tested, readable, and easy to maintain.
• An independent and curious approach to work, taking ownership of goals and continuously learning.
• Direct and kind communication skills, focusing on transparency and compassion.
• Fluent English proficiency in both written and spoken forms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python and AWS, along with an interest in building features end-to-end across frontend and backend systems.
