Tech Lead

Verity seeks a Tech Lead in Zurich to mentor engineers and drive the development of AI-powered inventory insights from drone data. The role combines technical architecture with team leadership in a hybrid setting.

This position focuses on guiding a multidisciplinary engineering group to solve complex problems related to drone-collected scan data. The primary objective is to transform raw data into high-quality, actionable inventory insights by leveraging machine vision, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management to steer a cross-functional team toward delivering complete solutions for inventory insight generation.
• Provide management, coaching, and empowerment to a high-performing team to ensure consistent, sustainable, and high-quality delivery standards.
• Engage directly with clients through on-site visits and calls to deeply understand their operational challenges and needs.
• Contribute hands-on to technical design and development, specifically focusing on converting raw inventory data into actionable intelligence.
• Take ownership of the architecture and technical roadmap for assigned components, ensuring seamless integration with platform, infrastructure, and other engineering teams.
• Champion a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence, leading by example to embody and evolve the company's values.

Requirements

• Over five years of experience leading cross-functional teams in delivering complex SaaS products with significant artificial intelligence and machine learning components.
• Strong practical proficiency in Python, C++, TypeScript, React, and AWS, with hands-on experience in relevant disciplines.
• A proven track record in people management, including a passion for mentoring, growing talent, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Deep understanding of agile practices and modern product development, with experience adopting modern technologies like AI tools to improve the development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
