Lead Product Engineer / CTO

Thingsy AG seeks a Lead Product Engineer or CTO in Zürich to own the full product lifecycle for white-label trade-in technology, blending deep technical expertise with strong product intuition.

This position is responsible for the complete end-to-end ownership of the product, spanning from the underlying codebase to direct customer interactions. The role focuses on delivering white-label trade-in and resale solutions, requiring the incumbent to bridge technical execution with customer needs while operating within a hybrid setup in Zürich that prioritizes in-office collaboration for rapid development cycles.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire product lifecycle, covering customer-facing features, core logic, and integrations with partner systems.
• Choose and implement the most suitable tools, frameworks, and editors to ensure the delivery of reliable software.
• Monitor trends in agentic tooling and AI, adopting new technologies as they prove more effective.
• Release products early and refine them based on actual user feedback rather than theoretical assumptions.
• Take initiative to handle necessary tasks outside the core job description to ensure successful outcomes.
• Implement a structured approach to agentic development, including context management, prompting strategies, tool design, evaluation metrics, and safe AI deployment.

• Have a solid background in software engineering with keen instincts for system architecture.
