Takeda Pharma AG seeks a Technology & Innovation Lead for Process Equipment in Zürich to drive technical strategy and engineering excellence for its Drug Product network.
The company is looking for an expert to define the technical direction and innovation roadmap for its Drug Product manufacturing sites. This role ensures that process and plant engineering solutions are safe, sustainable, and scalable while leveraging digital tools to improve operational control and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute technology visions and strategic roadmaps for Drug Product equipment.
- Contribute to or lead the innovation roadmap for process engineering strategies.
- Identify emerging technologies by attending industry conferences and scouting new solutions.
- Implement digitalization strategies to enhance decision-making, quality, and operational control.
- Provide expert process engineering support and technical strategy across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Evaluate current processes and equipment to improve yield, efficiency, and robustness.
- Establish Communities of Practice to align engineering technologies across the global network.
- Create and maintain standards, guidelines, and templates for process equipment technologies.
- Offer subject matter expertise for capital expenditure projects and design engineering functions.
- Assess equipment selection criteria to support lifecycle management and technology transfer.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deploy new solutions.
Requirements
- A technical, scientific, or engineering degree combined with 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in engineering technologies for product development or Drug Product manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Recognition as a subject matter expert and leader within the field.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to acquire new knowledge and apply problem-solving methodologies.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cGMP/GLP regulations, ICH guidelines, FDA CMC requirements, ISPE standards, and PDAGuidance Documents.
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies.
