Senior Backend Engineer - Product Platform

Frontify seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Product Platform team in the Sankt Gallen area. The role focuses on building scalable, secure features for their modern web application while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

This position sits within the Product Platform team, whose mission is to enhance platform capabilities and deliver essential tools to customers. The engineer plays a key part in ensuring the product remains scalable and performs optimally as it grows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate high-quality features into the company's modern web application.
• Architect solutions that prioritize scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial discovery to final delivery.
• Engage in collaborative coding practices, including pair programming and thorough code reviews with fellow developers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend software engineering.
• Fluent proficiency in English for professional communication.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and effective problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to work effectively within a team.
• Deep understanding of software design principles, including low coupling, high cohesion, and SOLID.
• Comfort and willingness to work with and refactor existing legacy codebases.

• Foundational knowledge of frontend engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and other programming languages.
