Senior Startup & Venture Capital Lawyer (80%-100%)

Kellerhals Carrard seeks a Senior Lawyer for its Startup & Venture Capital Team in Zurich. The role involves advising tech companies on VC, M&A, and corporate law within a hybrid work model.

This position sits within the firm’s specialized Startup & Venture Capital Team, which operates at the intersection of innovation, technology, and legal practice. As a leading law firm for entrepreneurs and investors in the Swiss tech market, the team supports technology companies throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial founding to eventual exit.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to technology firms, founders, startups, scale-ups, and investors regarding venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
• Establish and nurture client relationships immediately upon starting.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear communication and collaborate effectively across different teams.
• Confidently delegate tasks and supervise the work of others.

Requirements

• Possess a recognized Swiss law degree.
• Demonstrate several years of practical experience in Swiss legal practice.
• Have prior experience handling venture capital or M&A transactions alongside general corporate law duties.
• Be fluent in both German and English, with strong written and spoken proficiency.
• Display outstanding academic results, exceeding average standards in legal studies.
