The company seeks a Service Sales Engineer for Traction/Rail Transformer Service in Satigny, CH. The role supports sales and customers across Europe, focusing on sustainable mobility and rail product portfolios.
This position is part of the Sales Team dedicated to Traction Transformer Service in Europe. The role supports the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area. It facilitates sustainable mobility transition through rail product and service portfolios. The role assumes responsibility for rail customers in Europe, including OEMs, operators, and leasing companies.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sales team and customers throughout the sales process while developing new and existing business.
- Prepare technical offers according to the Unit portfolio and customer needs, clarifying technical and commercial aspects.
- Participate in sales strategy discussions, assign goals, and negotiate sales budgets and marketing plans.
- Identify customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis to demonstrate product value.
- Support the Sales organization and customers in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
- Take ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient issue resolution and analyze root causes of lost proposals.
- Perform sales performance reviews, propose recovery plans for order shortfalls, and provide sales activity reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- More than 2 years of experience in direct sales and sales management.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling.
- Understanding of offer preparation, contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
- Willingness to travel mainly within the European Union if needed.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of rail rolling stock market and rail customers.
- Additional languages beyond French and English.
