Service Project & Tender Specialist 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

ABB Power Grids seeks a Service Project & Tender Specialist in Turgi to lead service sales strategies, manage contracts, and drive commercial success within the Power Converter Solutions competence center.

This position sits within the Power Converter Solutions competence center, which handles the development, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-power electronic converters. The specialist will bridge sales, legal, finance, and engineering teams to implement service sales strategies, uncover new business opportunities, and ensure strong commercial results throughout the entire contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the service sales strategy by tracking performance metrics and spotting market trends to create new business opportunities.
• Develop proposals and contracts that align with customer needs, budget constraints, and project timelines.
• Negotiate contract terms to establish clear baselines, ensuring regulatory compliance while optimizing financial and operational outcomes.
• Oversee contract execution, including the documentation and control of any changes or amendments.
• Monitor ongoing contract performance to identify deviations and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with technical, financial, and legal stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate handling of all commercial activities.
• Provide expert guidance on commercial and contractual matters to support business development efforts, drawing on strong legal knowledge.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or technical qualification (FH/HF/TS), ideally in electrical engineering, with a background in power electronics or control technology.
• Two to three years of professional experience in projects, tenders, contract management, or a technical role involving customer interaction, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
• Fluency in both German and English.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP SD/CS.

• Prior experience or a strong willingness to learn about contract, change, and claim management.
• A foundational understanding of legal terminology and contractual frameworks, or the motivation to develop this expertise in a commercial context.
