Roger Dubuis seeks a Senior Store Design and Planning Project Manager in Plan-les-Ouates to lead global retail architectural projects and guide regional teams.
This position acts as the central architectural authority for the global retail network, blending creative design with strategic project leadership. The role involves guiding regional project managers to ensure all retail spaces align with brand standards and requires regular international travel to oversee prestigious developments.
Responsibilities
- Direct the complete design lifecycle for flagship stores, boutiques, and shop-in-shop concepts, from initial idea to final approval.
- Ensure all designs reflect the brand’s luxury identity and deliver innovative experiences for clients.
- Manage external specialists, including architects, lighting designers, and 3D artists.
- Review layouts, materials, mock-ups, and technical documentation to maintain quality.
- Act as the HQ Design Authority for the region, providing guidance to regional project managers.
- Validate architectural proposals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with global store design guidelines.
- Support regional teams during tendering, value engineering, and construction phases to protect design intent.
- Drive the continuous evolution of retail concepts, design standards, and technical guidelines.
- Lead strategic flagship and retail projects from concept through design validation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants throughout the design process.
- Provide design-centric reviews of project planning, budgets, and value engineering efforts.
- Present designs at key boutique design committee meetings and reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Retail Design.
- At least 7 years of specific experience in luxury store design and planning.
- Proven track record of leading flagship retail projects and premium architectural developments within luxury or international premium brands.
- Professional fluency in English and French is essential.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
