Roger Dubuis seeks a Senior Store Design Planning Brand Architect to translate retail concepts into precise architectural layouts, ensuring brand consistency and technical excellence across global locations.

This position is responsible for transforming initial retail design concepts into refined architectural plans while maintaining strict adherence to technical standards across all sales channels. The architect holds end-to-end accountability for architectural quality, guiding projects from the initial concept phase through to final implementation to ensure every detail aligns with the brand's high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Apply spatial planning principles and zoning strategies to ensure consistent execution across diverse global regions.
  • Develop and validate construction details, managing workflows, budgets, and timelines in coordination with local store planning teams.
  • Maintain accurate and current design documentation and budget records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with external partners, contractors, and internal operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Align design decisions with brand identity, business goals, and operational requirements.
  • Deconstruct complex challenges into clear frameworks and define actionable steps.
  • Provide operational support to guarantee excellence in store openings and executions.
  • Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve departmental processes and optimization.
  • Research new materials, trends, and innovative ideas to refine and perfect brand design codes.
  • Convert innovative design concepts into practical, buildable architectural solutions.
  • Create and update design and technical guidelines for the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail design, high-end retail architecture, or spatial design across multiple formats and regions.
  • Strong design and creative skills, with up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and innovation.
  • Expertise in lighting and illumination design.
  • High attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
  • Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to respond promptly to design adjustments caused by site conditions, budget constraints, or timeline changes.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, MS Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

  • Proficiency in French.
