The Visual Merchandising Manager will lead the visual identity and retail experience for Universal Genève globally, translating brand stories into physical installations across boutiques and events.
This senior position serves as a central link between creative vision and physical execution, partnering with marketing and retail divisions to craft immersive in-store environments. The role focuses on translating the heritage and craftsmanship of Universal Genève into refined displays and activations that engage customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Translate brand narratives and concepts into high-quality visual merchandising installations.
- Design window displays, retail animations, and visual concepts that align with the Universal Genève identity and values.
- Develop engaging, commercially effective retail experiences to boost customer interaction.
- Produce visual merchandising materials for product launches, special editions, exhibitions, and pop-up events.
- Work with Retail, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure a cohesive customer journey across all sales points.
- Support storytelling efforts that highlight the brand's history and watchmaking expertise.
- Build and maintain relationships with premium suppliers, production partners, and external agencies.
- Oversee the creation of materials, samples, and final productions to maintain quality standards.
- Manage internal ordering, production schedules, logistics, and installations for timely delivery.
- Collaborate with global markets and retail partners to ensure consistent implementation and flawless execution.
- Provide on-site support for installations and local market activations as needed.
- Create sophisticated presentations and visual materials to enhance department visibility.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, interior design, architecture, or related creative fields.
- Proven project management experience, preferably in luxury, watchmaking, jewelry, or premium retail.
- Degree in visual merchandising, interior design, retail design, architecture, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong project management skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
- Fluent English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D visualization tools like SketchUp or Rhino.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Additional language skills such as French, Italian, or German.
