Roger Dubuis seeks a Senior Store Planning and Construction Project Manager to lead retail development projects across Europe, from design through post-opening, ensuring brand standards and operational efficiency.

The company is looking for a professional to oversee the complete lifecycle of retail development initiatives throughout the European region. This position combines headquarters-level strategic oversight with regional execution to maintain high brand desirability and operational excellence. The role requires frequent travel to France, Switzerland, Italy, and the Nordics for site assessments and project supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept and design development through to construction documentation and final handover, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and brand identity.
  • Direct external design partners, including architects, 3D visualization specialists, and other consultants.
  • Work closely with Headquarters Retail, Visual Merchandising, and Commercial departments to enhance the retail customer experience and streamline operations.
  • Lead projects from investment approval through construction completion, managing budgets, CAPEX, and schedules.
  • Handle tendering processes, technical evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract awards.
  • Manage procurement activities, purchase orders, change orders, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and landlords to secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Supervise all construction phases to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate regional maintenance and post-opening activities, including snagging, retrofitting, and minor works.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between Headquarters and European regional markets for boutique construction and maintenance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Construction Project Management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of specific experience in luxury store planning and construction.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering international retail projects within the luxury sector or for premium brands.
  • Deep understanding of luxury design principles, construction processes, and operational excellence.
  • Extensive experience managing executive architects, quantity surveyors, general contractors, and specialist consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, tender management, commercial negotiations, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional fluency in both English and French is required.
