Student S&OP Process Digitalization (m/w/d)

Bühlmann (Switzerland) seeks a part-time student intern in Schönenbuch to support the digitalization of its S&OP process through software adoption, data management, and workflow documentation.

This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) function, focusing on the implementation and adoption of new digital tools. The intern will serve as a key resource for tool usage, assist in setting up digital solutions for production planning and data gathering, and help maintain data quality to ensure reliable planning inputs. Additionally, the role involves identifying further digitalization opportunities and documenting processes to support knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Learn and master the software tools being implemented across the S&OP workflow, including those for production planning, data collection, and demand forecasting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tool usage within the S&OP team.
• Help configure and deploy digital solutions for production planning and data gathering.
• Collect, organize, and maintain data to support accurate S&OP inputs.
• Work with the S&OP team to spot areas for additional digital improvements.
• Create documentation for workflows, tool guides, and process steps to maintain continuity and share knowledge.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in business administration, computer science, or a natural science field such as bioinformatics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable; at a minimum, a strong willingness to learn the platform independently.
• Foundational programming abilities.
• Fluent English skills; conversational German is a significant advantage as the local team works in both languages.
• A proactive, adaptable, self-reliant, and dependable work style.
• A methodical and organized approach to tasks.
• A genuine interest in supply chain and manufacturing concepts, though prior expertise is not necessary.
• Comfort with working in environments that include older data systems and a focus on gradual process improvements.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Conversational German language skills.
