Supervisor in Piece Part Repair

SR Technics seeks a Supervisor for Piece Part Repair in Zürich to lead a multicultural team, ensure safety and quality compliance, and drive operational efficiency through Lean principles.

As a key leader within SR Technics, a global leader in engine maintenance with over nine decades of experience, this role focuses on managing daily operations for piece part repair. The position exists to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality overhaul of aircraft components while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team engagement.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety mindset and ensure that quality policies are actively communicated and followed by all staff.
• Manage a diverse, international team by encouraging high performance, engagement, and a supportive workplace atmosphere.
• Establish clear performance goals and conduct regular check-ins to monitor progress and drive results.
• Organize and distribute resources effectively to maximize productivity and track labor efficiency metrics.
• Identify training needs and manage skill development to ensure the team has the capacity to meet operational demands.
• Implement Lean methodologies and 5S practices to streamline processes and achieve key performance indicators.
• Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• A technical background or relevant technical education.
• At least three years of experience in team leadership or significant project management roles.
• Strong command of English at a B2+ level or higher.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and utilize maintenance documentation systems.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working within the aviation industry.
• Ability to communicate in German.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma improvement methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP software.
