Senior Installation Supervisor

Scherer & Bühler AG seeks a Senior Installation Supervisor in Uzwil to lead technician teams, oversee complex project installations, and ensure strict adherence to safety and engineering standards.

The company is looking for an experienced professional to direct installation activities for large-scale or intricate projects. This position requires overseeing the entire lifecycle of installation supervision, from initial planning and preparation through to final execution, ensuring all work aligns with project scopes and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a team of technicians during the installation of major or complex projects.
• Plan, prepare, and execute installation supervision tasks in line with assigned project scopes.
• Verify that all personnel understand and follow site-specific rules, safety protocols, and environmental protection measures.
• Oversee installation work to ensure compliance with engineering documents, safety instructions, and local regulations.
• Track construction progress against the established schedule and implement measures to keep the project on track.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager or Project Manager to initiate preventive actions that help meet program targets.
• Lead or participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings with internal staff and subcontractors.
• Provide regular status updates to the Site Manager and Project Manager.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure conduct aligns with company policies and local regulations.
• Document and communicate any deviations from the customer contract through proper reporting channels.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and strive for high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Hold an engineering degree.
• Possess at least 10 years of experience as a Chief Installation Supervisor or demonstrate equivalent expertise.
• Have technical and commercial knowledge spanning multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Show strong abilities in planning, organizing, and setting priorities, with a proven track record of managing teams.
• Exhibit a strong customer focus, sound judgment, and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
