The IT team at Julius Bär is looking for a dedicated professional to manage the daily operation of core banking applications. This position focuses on application management, incident handling, and ensuring smooth operational processes within the banking technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage second-level support for core banking applications to ensure stable operation.
  • Handle incident tickets from monitoring tools and the service desk while meeting service level agreements.
  • Coordinate communication between incident managers, application owners, third-level support, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation covering 24/7 availability.
  • Administer change requests related to application processes.
  • Take part in periodic software releases scheduled for weekends.
  • Contribute to projects focused on operational aspects of current or new applications.
  • Perform routine data cleansing activities across systems.
  • Optimize and automate repetitive tasks, including handing over processes to Level 1 support.
  • Maintain and update application operation documentation and knowledge bases.

Requirements

  • Hold a completed IT education, such as a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Demonstrate proven experience managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Temenos T24 operations, including end-of-day processing.
  • Possess at least five years of professional experience providing support for T24.
  • Have knowledge of ITIL Foundation principles.
  • Show proven experience in the banking sector with a strong understanding of financial products.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the TPH module.
  • Strong Linux skills, including shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Java application servers and the AWA scheduler.
  • German language proficiency.
