The IT team at Julius Bär is looking for a dedicated professional to manage the daily operation of core banking applications. This position focuses on application management, incident handling, and ensuring smooth operational processes within the banking technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage second-level support for core banking applications to ensure stable operation.
- Handle incident tickets from monitoring tools and the service desk while meeting service level agreements.
- Coordinate communication between incident managers, application owners, third-level support, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation covering 24/7 availability.
- Administer change requests related to application processes.
- Take part in periodic software releases scheduled for weekends.
- Contribute to projects focused on operational aspects of current or new applications.
- Perform routine data cleansing activities across systems.
- Optimize and automate repetitive tasks, including handing over processes to Level 1 support.
- Maintain and update application operation documentation and knowledge bases.
Requirements
- Hold a completed IT education, such as a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Temenos T24 operations, including end-of-day processing.
- Possess at least five years of professional experience providing support for T24.
- Have knowledge of ITIL Foundation principles.
- Show proven experience in the banking sector with a strong understanding of financial products.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the TPH module.
- Strong Linux skills, including shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Java application servers and the AWA scheduler.
- German language proficiency.
